Getting More Comfortable in the Social World: Social and Emotional Competency, July 15
For people with Asperger Syndrome or High-Functioning Autism, or those close to them
Presented by Erika Rosenberg, PhD and Valerie Stone, PhD
Get specific tools to help you or your loved ones gain new confidence in the three most stressful social situations: dating, workplace interactions, and meeting new people.
Unlike in a lecture, in our dynamic, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn and practice:
You’ll get specific skills you can use the next day, and a systematic approach to understanding people’s faces.
We are both passionate about bringing scientific research into the real world to improve people’s lives.
Who we are: Dr. Erika Rosenberg is an internationally recognized expert on facial expressions of emotion who trained extensively with Paul Ekman. She has taught people all over the world how to understand signs of emotion in the face and is scientific consultant to the Fox TV show “Lie to Me.” Dr. Valerie Stone is an internationally recognized expert on social competence, and protecting vulnerable people from exploitation and aggression. She trained with Dr. Simon Baron-Cohen in Cambridge, England.
The tools for social and emotional competence that Dr. Rosenberg and Dr. Stone teach are based on recent scientific research. They believe in making the latest research useful and practically accessible to people who need it most.
